The Role

The Content and Business Development Executive will hold responsibility to work with the Marketing and Membership Manager to build engagement and increase advocacy, revenue, and support for the business. The role requires engaging with Category One and Associate Members and Corporate Partners to identify and develop relevant news for industry and the management of posting on Drinks Trade website, along with the management and selling of advertising for the Drinks Guide website and achievement of revenue budgets.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications

  • Build, grow and enhance key stakeholder database and relationships with member/partner PR and communications contacts to capture relevant industry news.

  • Write and contribute to a range of corporate communications collateral including thought leadership for content platforms, events, key messages and member communication.

  • Develop and promote Drinks Trade website and weekly Drinks Trade enewsletter content to engage broad industry audience, increasing traffic through strategic and targeted communications.


Member Engagement & Business Development

  • Create and maintain a full marketing calendar and optimise sales funnels to achieve budgeted Drinks Guide website advertising revenue.

  • Build a pipeline of prospective subscribers for Drinks Association services and target to convert via sales initiatives.

  • Support the Marketing and Membership Manager to plan, coordinate and conduct member briefings on the Drinks Association Value Proposition, including all services and events.


Advertising

  • Liaise with media partner, HIP Media, to manage advertising schedule and fulfillment of advertising on the Drinks Trade website.


About You

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • Experience in developing and implementing integrated brand and marketing communications strategies to support business objectives focused on a complex target market.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to develop robust working relationships with all levels, both internally and externally.

  • High-level written and verbal communication skills and flexibility in working to deadlines and request.

  • High level presentation skills, including creation of content and delivery

  • Financial acumen with the ability to focus and achieve revenue targets.

  • Knowledge of web applications software (HTML) and Content Management Systems.

  • Self-motivated, service focussed, with superior communication and time management skills.

  • Well-developed project management skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines.
