Embrace Difference Council puts State Chapter events on hold

April 01, 2020

The Embrace Difference Council has postponed its upcoming State Chapter events due to COVID-19, however it is still keen to welcome new committee members.

Embrace Difference is inviting men to join the State Chapter committees, following their evolution from Women In Drinks last year.

The call for male participants aligns with the Embrace Difference Council’s scope, encompassing diversity and inclusion and shift to consider the question of gender equity as an issue pertinent to both men and women given that gender equity is good for everyone.

With the State Chapter events now falling under Embrace Difference, members can look forward to a calendar of events with a broader appeal under the steady guidance of National Chapter Leads, Renae Meyer (CUB) and Leela Sennitt (TWE).

The program will focus on career support and advice, networking and professional development opportunities with special presentations from business leaders. Also, events with appeal and relevance to men and women working in the industry.

Expressions of interest from men wishing to join the State Chapter committees can be directed to Renae Meyer: Renae.Meyer@cub.com.au and Leela Sennitt: Leela.Sennitt@tweglobal.com.

We look forward to resuming Embrace Difference State Chapter events in the coming months and will advise when ticket sales reopen. Stay tuned!
