The aim of the study was to provide the industry with an overview of the current state of, and future opportunities for, off-premise promotions in order to increase their effectiveness.

The study involved in-depth interviews with suppliers and retailers and a survey of 1000 Australian Off-Premise shoppers, seeks to  understand:

• What both the trade and shoppers think about the role of promotions in Off-Premise
• The linkage between what shoppers say and what they actually do
• The relationship between occasion, store format and promotional effectiveness
