About the Role 

We know that Data Strategy is a key component in enabling us to Transform and Accelerate. Reporting to the IT Director, you will play at two different levels:

  • Lead an engaged cross functional team (which includes the Exec team) on the journey of maximising value from internal and external data, prioritising opportunities and growing the organisation’s knowledge and expertise in big data tools and methods along the way.

  • Leading the IT Data & Analytics team you’ll have a “hands-on” involvement in projects and use of data and analytics tools. You’ll use your expertise around data tools and techniques to deliver insights and to accelerate the learning and development of the IT team and key stakeholders across the business.

 

 

About You

Your curiosity and enthusiasm for Data and it’s uses, coupled with a collaborative approach will ensure you can drive the evolution and adoption of the Data Strategy. You will bring relevant stakeholders on the journey, leverage the capability and platforms of our HQ and provide support your team to ensure appropriate governance, portfolio and vendor management are in place.

 

Ideally you will have:

  • 7+ years of experience in Data & Analysis roles

  • Expertise in modern data analytics techniques and methods

  • Expertise and proven project delivery with tools such as Databricks, Python, SQL, PowerBI

  • Management of large projects and a portfolio of small projects

  • Communicating effectively with all levels

  • Proven track record in managing teams

  • A convivial approach
