NETWORK BREAKFAST: Building a foundation for a strong, sustained cycle of economic growth

Guest speaker - Elliot Clarke - Senior Economist, Westpac

The Drinks Association is delighted to welcome its members and partners back to its first live event for 2021 with the return of its annual network breakfast on Tuesday, 1 June.

With effective vaccines being deployed across the world following the trauma of 2020, monetary and fiscal authorities are doing all they can to trigger a rapid recovery and lay the foundations for a strong, sustained cycle of economic growth. Westpac's Senior Economist, Elliot Clarke returns to the Drinks Association's Network Breakfast to consider the opportunities and risks currently faced by Australia with a particular focus on how we can expect consumer demand to be shaped by growing household wealth and income along with the re-opening of international borders.

Elliot has been with Westpac Economics for over 11 years having previously worked at the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA). Throughout his career, Elliot’s focus has remained on Australia’s place in the global economy. Having assessed economic and financial developments in Asia for the RBA, Elliot now manages Westpac Economics’ global economic and financial market forecasts.

Kirribilli Club is a five minute stroll from Milsons Point train station.  There is plenty of parking available for a flat rate of $12.
