Sustainability Council

The Drinks Association Sustainability Council is here to encourage and inspire the drinks industry to have a greater positive impact on people and the planet and, in doing so, build trust and resilience across the sector.

Through three core pillars – Planet, People and Progress – the council brings the industry together to take meaningful action on the issues that matter most: reducing environmental impact, valuing people across supply chains and communities, and driving the kind of transparency that builds long-term trust.

Planet: Supporting the industry to adopt sustainable practices that limit harm, protect the environment and thrive in a new low-carbon economy.

People: Influencing and educating across industry and partners to ensure people are protected and valued, in our organisations, our supply chains and the communities we operate in.

Progress: Enhancing how the industry tracks and shares its performance on sustainability, so that awareness leads to action and action leads to genuine improvement.

“The Sustainability Council will provide a forum for the drinks industry to collaborate in tackling some of the biggest environmental and social challenges in the world today. By working together in this forum, we can accelerate and amplify our collective positive impact in this space."

Rebecca Loch
Sustainability Council Chair
