Michelle Fragias - Balancing well-being & the leadership mindset

Embrace Difference event explores well-being & the leadership mindset

Pernod Ricard hosted the first Embrace Difference NSW chapter event of the year last night - 'Balancing well-being & the leadership mindset' - at its spectacular offices in Barangaroo.

The sold-out Drinks Association event included plenty of men and women, who had all come along to engage, learn and contemplate how to keep their well-being in check, with a presentation from lifestyle coach Michelle Fragias. (pictured main, middle). Michelle spoke about her road to well-being and the importance of living a vibrant and holistic life.

Michelle empowers people to find clarity, confidence and momentum in blending life and business successfully. She is deeply passionate about supporting and helping people to unleash their best self by prioritising their well-being, while staying connected to their passion and purpose in the work that they do

Her work is built on her personal experience with the highs and lows of being a mother, wife, previously a senior corporate leader and entrepreneur. She openly shared her learnings and challenges of balancing many hats, while maintaining her own health.

Michelle quoted researcher Brene Brown: "Leadership is not about titles or the corner office. It’s about the willingness to step up, put yourself out there, and lean into courage. The world is desperate for braver leaders."

"Before we can truly and unconditionally support and find the potential in people and processes in the work that we do or the families that we lead, we need to support and find the potential within ourselves and our own processes," Michelle added.

There was a delicious spread of canapés and cheeses on offer as well as sweets for those so inclined. Spanish sparkling wine, Campo Viejo Cava Brut Reserve was served on arrival, alongside Glenlivet single malt whisky iced tea, a selection of St Hugo wines and Remedy kombucha.

Guests were invited to peruse and purchase fashion from new Australian brandOne P. The pop-up store showcased a range of chic, easy to wear and wash clothing made from innovative natural and breathable fibres.

On a steamy February evening, the appeal of cool, comfortable and cling-free clothing was definitely not a hard sell for Managing Director Karen Platt and designer Hayley Clarke.

The purpose of Embrace Difference is to inspire, support and educate the drinks industry to increase diversity and inclusion.

Attendees wanting to further the conversation with Michelle can book in a confidential call.

"I want to make sure they walk away with clarity, confidence and an action plan," she explained.
