We’re proud to announce that data collection is now underway for the Drinks Association’s 2025 Diversity and Inclusion Report.
Now in its 7th year, the report provides a vital snapshot of where our industry stands – and where we still need to go – when it comes to building inclusive, equitable workplaces. It’s a benchmark that helps companies track progress, identify areas for improvement and share strategies that are making a difference.
Why this report matters
Diversity and inclusion aren’t just buzzwords. They are key to attracting and retaining top talent, fostering innovation and creating businesses where people feel seen, supported and empowered to succeed.
The results of the survey give us a deeper understanding of the demographic makeup of the industry. The resulting report not only highlights trends across gender, culture, age, ability, and identity, it also shares practical steps members are taking to build more inclusive environments.
It’s only through data and the conversations that flow from it that we can truly understand where we are and what we need to do next.
Collecting the data
Data for the Diversity & Inclusion report is collected in two ways. The first source of data is member company Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) submissions. This is then supported with a manual data collection process to gather additional insights beyond the gender-specific WGEA lens.
The report encompasses diversity and inclusion targets, workplace composition, workplace movements, parental leave, flexible working arrangements, employee resource groups, Reconciliation Action Plans and initiatives that extend beyond gender (including culture, LGBTQIA+, disability and multigenerational workforce). The 2025 survey includes expanded questions on parental leave for a deeper dive into this topic.
Shared later in 2025, the report will highlight year-on-year progress and showcase case studies from Drinks Association member companies. It will continue to serve as an industry benchmark, supporting ongoing efforts to create more inclusive and equitable workplaces across the drinks sector.
