Australian Vintage has been awarded the 2025 Supply Chain Management Award at the Australian Drinks Awards, reclaiming the award after their last victory in 2022.
The award acknowledges Australian Vintage’s strong performance in delivering an efficient, reliable and collaborative supply experience across the trade. It was presented at the Hilton Sydney in front of almost 400 industry professionals, with GS1 Australia returning as proud sponsor of the award.
“GS1 is proud to sponsor the Supply Chain Management Award, which recognises outstanding end-to-end performance, service and partnership in a complex trading environment,” said David McNeil, Chief Customer Officer, GS1 Australia. “Australian Vintage Limited continues to raise the bar in delivering a seamless and responsive supply chain experience.”
Continued excellence drives supply chain win
Mark Alexander, Supply Chain Manager for Australian Vintage, said of the win, “The Supply Chain Management award is a really pleasing reflection from our customer base on the work our teams do on a day-to-day basis. That work ensures we deliver on time and in full as much as possible to an Australia wide consumer network. We would like to thank our suppliers and our partner GTS Logistics who very much contribute to our continued success in this area.
“We are so proud to be three-time winners of this particular award as it compromises so many different areas of our business and its feedback directly from our customers and retail partners.”
Setting the supply chain management standard
The Supply Chain Management Award is based on results from the Advantage Engagement Program, which collects feedback from retail and wholesale partners across the industry.
Suppliers are evaluated on:
- Collaboration on forecasting and demand planning
- Alignment with supply chain metrics
- Efficiency in logistics and inventory management
- Delivery in full, on time (DIFOT)
- Transparency and communication in service delivery
“The award recognises excellence in the capabilities and behaviours for managing both short- and longer-term supply complexities in collaboration with retailers and wholesalers, as well as the ability to consistently drive high quality service outcomes and deliverables,” explains Steve Andrews, Managing Director at Advantage.
“Australian Vintage has been recognised for excellent cross-functional alignment supporting reliable supply delivery and communication. They have also been strong collaborators on improving supply chain efficiencies with their trading partners also, and it’s this combination of strengths that has seen them win this award.”
Complementing their Supply Chain Management win, Australian Vintage also collected the 2025 Best Sustainability Initiative Award. In total, 34 awards were handed out at the 13th Annual Australian Drinks Awards, hosted by Edwina Bartholomew. The awards recognise achievement and excellence in the drinks industry, including Supplier of the Year, Most Improved Supplier of the Year, Category Management and Supply Chain Management.
