2026 Pride in Drinks Trivia Night in review

2026 Pride in Drinks Trivia Night in review

The Pride in Drinks Trivia Night is becoming one of the industry's favourite ways to mark Pride Month and the 2026 edition didn’t disappoint.

The Burdekin, an Oxford Street icon, was once again the venue where more than 100 people from across the industry gathered for an evening of trivia and, most importantly, Pride celebrations.

This year's host, Carmen Geddit, kept the energy high, helping to fuel a healthy competition between the teams with trivia that covered the history, culture and milestones of the LGBTQIA+ community.

A bonus live music round was new to this year's lineup, with saxophonist Rob Woodward performing tracks for teams to identify by song and artist. He also played before and after the round, setting the tone for the night.

There was a draw for first place between Lion and Vinarchy, with Vinarchy taking the trophy after a dance battle to decide the winner.

Thanks to the kind donations of drinks and prizes from our Category One Members, a donation of $1000 was made to QLife, an organisation that provides free and anonymous phone and web chat support to LGBTIQA+SB people. The peer support and referral service provides LGBTIQA+SB people and their loved ones with an opportunity to discuss a range of issues, including sexuality, gender, bodies, feelings, relationships, mental health and wellbeing. The $1000 donation was generously matched by Endeavour Group on the night.

Nights like this are a reminder of what Pride in Drinks is really about – connection, education and inspiration. It was possible thanks to the hard work of the Pride in Drinks committee, representatives from across the industry who volunteer their time to help raise awareness of the challenges faced by the LGBTQIA+ community while creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members and allies.
