The 2024 Drinks Association’s International Women’s Day event held on Friday, March 8 and hosted by the Embrace Difference Council featured a series of feature reels, a tribute to the women shaping our industry.

The participants showcased in the video were nominated by members of the Drinks Association Board and the HR Directors Forum and represented a dozen different drinks organisations across diverse leadership levels, career stages, personal situations, and functions.

The purpose of the feature reels was to highlight and celebrate a diverse group of women in the drinks industry who shared their experiences in embracing change, fostering a positive mindset, demonstrating courage in challenging situations, and underscoring the importance of gender equity in both personal and professional success.

Georgia Lennon, the CEO of the Drinks Association, participated in the feature reels to offer an introduction to the audience.

“It’s my pleasure to kick off this year’s event with the first of these feature reels. I had the privilege of meeting these wonderful women during our filming days in Sydney and Melbourne, and I truly hope you find their stories of bravery and resilience as uplifting as I did,” she said.
