Driving Sustainability: ALM calls for collective action in the drinks supply chain

November 23, 2023

The Drinks Association Supply Chain and Logistics Forum held its final event of the year at the Brown-Forman office in Surry HIlls in Sydney on Wednesday, 22 November 2023.

Nevil Shah, Sourcing, Sustainability, and Compliance Manager at Australian Liquor Marketers (ALM), delivered a compelling presentation on ALM’s commitment towards a more sustainable future, which spans across three key elements: Planet (Environmental Impact), People (Social Responsibility), and Community (Community Engagement).

The presentation focused on the importance of shared responsibility among businesses in creating a sustainable future. Nevil highlighted the critical role of businesses in reducing greenhouse gases, with every link in the supply chain playing a crucial role in the larger ecosystem.

Given the interconnectedness between ALM and its suppliers to Champion Successful Independents, the presentation emphasised that ALM’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond its walls and urged suppliers to actively join in the commitment.

Nevil reinforced the idea that through collective action and shared responsibility, ALM and its supplier partners can lead the way towards a more sustainable and environmentally-conscious future.
