November 14, 2022

World Champion, Commonwealth Champion, and the first woman to represent Australia in both a Summer and Winter Olympic games, Dr Jana Pittman, will be the keynote speaker for the Drinks Association’s 2023 International Women’s Day event on Wednesday, 8 March.

The event is a highlight of the Drinks Association's annual calendar when the industry comes together to celebrate the success of women working in the drinks industry and we look to continue to cultivate a diverse and inclusive industry culture.

Pittman personifies resilience and determination. Her story is a rollercoaster of triumph, defeat, failure, and success. Since stepping away from the track, she has completed a Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery graduating as dux of her year from Western Sydney University and a Masters of Reproductive Medicine at the University of New South Wales. For many years and through all of medical school Jana was a single mum. After a tough divorce she powered on to have two more children through IVF as a solo parent, before meeting her partner and having her fourth. She is now a practising doctor in the field of Women’s Health, undertaking a PhD in obstetrics at UNSW and is a mother of six with twins born in March 2022.

"I have failed more than I have succeed and cried oceans of tears over fallen dreams and failed relationships but through it all I have realised how much more rewarding it is to go down fighting," says Pittman.

Join us for lunch and hear from Pittman as she shares the highs, lows, grit and determination that have shaped her career and helped her become the person she is today.
