The Drinks Association is pleased to announce that the judging process is currently underway for the highly anticipated 2023 Contribution to Industry Awards. The winners of these coveted accolades will be revealed at the eleventh annual Australian Drinks Awards on 10 August 2023 at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth.

Judging underway for 2023 Contribution to Industry Awards

There are three key award categories within Contribution to Industry: Most Improved Gender Equity Award, Inclusive & Diverse Workplace Award, and Corporate Social Responsibility Award. Each category holds significant importance in recognising outstanding achievements in driving positive change within the industry.

A panel of industry leaders, including members of the Drinks Association Board and experts in the space of Diversity & Inclusion and Corporate Social Responsibility, are involved in the evaluation and judging process for these awards.

Note: Judges representing organisations that have submitted an entry for a specific award category are ineligible to participate in that particular award's judging process.

2023 Most Improved Gender Equity Award - Finalists announced!

The finalists for the Most Improved Gender Equity Award were shortlisted based on data extracted from the annual WGEA Report and submissions provided to the Drinks Association, which form an integral part of the Industry Scorecard. Year-on-year movements are reviewed in relation to the finalists' female representation in leadership, female representation in the overall workforce and a summary of policy changes undertaken.

We are thrilled to announce that based on this data, there are three finalists for this year's Most Improved Gender Equity Award.

Australian Vintage Limited, Moët Hennessy and Accolade Wines have made the most substantial gains in gender equity over the past year. Each of these organisations has been invited to submit additional materials for consideration, and the judges will select the winning company prior to the awards ceremony.

All three companies have demonstrated improvements in achieving equitable gender workplace composition at an overall level and in leadership by implementing policies and initiatives that have created tangible change in their businesses.
