Australian Vintage's latest investment in its people

Australian Vintage is now recognised by Mental Health First Aid Australia as a Skilled Workplace, the first company in the Australian liquor industry in be certified. Twenty per cent of the Australian Vintage workforce is now equipped to understand, identify and support colleagues who may be experiencing troubled mental health.

 

Over the last 18 months people managers and key personnel from Australian Vintage undertook Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training. This has since been embedded into the Australian Vintage workplace culture with wellbeing established as a crucial component of Australian Vintage's people strategy. The initiative has the support from the executive leadership team, all of whom are committed to the mental health and wellbeing strategy and plan.

MHFA training and content has now been incorporated into Australian Vintage's training and communications on an ongoing basis and the business has also created it first Employee Mental Health and Wellbeing Policy.

In the Australian Vintage offices today, just like First Aiders, Australian Vintage displays the MHFAiders at each site on posters and digital noticeboards.

Mental Health First Aid® (MHFA™) courses are a suite of evidence-based, accredited training programs that equip people with the skills to support anyone in their network who may be experiencing a mental health problem or crisis.
