Kegstar is the leading keg management provider in ANZ and now in its tenth year of business, it is continuing to grow and evolve under the new ownership and support of parent company MicroStar Logistics.

General Manager of ANZ Stephen “Hoppy” Hopkins says Kegstar has been listening to its customers changing needs post Covid.

This has led to several sweeping changes throughout the business. One thing is for sure - the Kegstar of 2022 is a fundamentally different beast to the Kegstar of 2012.

The most important factor brewers look for from their keg supplier, especially given the global supply chain challenges they face, is to have the confidence they will receive the kegs they need, when they need them. Kegstar, and its parent company MicroStar, understand this which is why the business leverages its position as the largest purchaser of kegs in the world, to make sure Australian brewers are never shorted.

With the support of MicroStar, Kegstar has also been able to expand its operations and make some key changes to ensure it is offering its customers the best possible service and support.

To this extent they have increased the size of its team across the country to help support growth and its customer service mantra, with a commitment to having the right people in the right places to provide customers with the support they need.

Kegstar understands the importance of simplicity. That’s why it's streamlined its pricing structure and rental statements, in turn eliminating burdensome scanning and more. As a result, Kegstar has now implemented a fixed pricing model which for many people means one thing - no more scanning!

Finally, Kegstar shares brewers’ commitment to sustainability. The business understands that using scarce resources efficiently is both economical AND sustainable for the beer industry. Given the highly circular nature of shared, reusable kegs, together Kegstar and MicroStar remove over 7 million kg of freight-related greenhouse gas emissions each year.
